Volunteer to help Nashville's urban forests

We depend on volunteers to help us achieve our mission of enhancing our urban forests.   We need volunteers for these upcoming events:

  • Taking Root Workshop, October 21, 2017
  • ReLeafing Day, November 18, 2017
  • Tree Planting with Friends of Riverside Drive, December 2, 2017
  • Tree Trail Docent Program (dates throughout the year)
  • Watering and tree care (dates throughout the year)

NEW:  Green Shirt Volunteers added to help supervise tree plantings

Volunteers who are 18 years or older and have completed a minimum of three Nashville Tree Foundation tree-planting events or are a professional (landscaper, horticulturist, master gardener) can qualify as a Green Shirt Volunteer. These volunteers will help train and supervise tree plantings at events beginning with the Hands on Nashville Day of Service.

Releafing Day
November 18, 2017

ReLeafing Day is the Nashville Tree Foundation's fall planting, held every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Riverside Drive Tree Planting
December 2, 2017

Cherry blossom trees line the median of Riverside Drive in memory of fallen soldiers.   Help plant 55 trees to complete the median project planting this year.  Meet at 9:00am at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at 1240 McGavock Pike.  Register below.
